Where do your herbs come from?
All of the herbs that we use are either grown in our organic garden, sourced from farms using organic and sustainable farming practices, or ethically wildcrafted in the Southeastern United States. Any other items that we have to purchase like oils, beeswax, and honey come from organic or small producers in the United States.
Are all of your products really gluten free?
Yes! They most certainly are. Sarah has Celiac Disease which requires us to keep an entirely gluten free kitchen and to use only gluten free ingredients in our products. All of the herbs that we use are either grown in our own garden, ethically wildcrafted in the Southeastern United States, or sourced from farms who do not grow wheat, barley, or rye. We use corn-derived alcohol, gluten free apple cider vinegar, gluten free oils, and raw local honey. You can rest assured that all items from Rowan + Sage are completely safe for you!
How do I take a tincture?
For most of our tinctures, you can take them right on the tongue or in liquid like water or juice. Just add the amount of drops listed on the bottle or recommended to you by a herbalist or other wellness practitioner to a bit of water and drink! You can also add the drops under the tongue for quicker absorption. If you are taking our Digestive Bitters formula, make sure to hold the liquid in your mouth for at least 30 seconds before swallowing to get the full benefit of the herbs.
I am pregnant and/or breastfeeding. Can you tell me which herbs I can have?
We typically notate if a product is unsafe for pregnancy/lactation in the product description but please always check with your primary health provider. We are not licensed medical professionals and cannot give you advice on what herbs are or are not safe for you.
Do you accomodate custom orders?
We only provide custom formulas for clients working with Sarah one-on-one. We do not provide custom formulas on request. However, if you would like a particular single herb extract we may have it in stock so just email us and we’ll try to help you out as best we can!
Do you have a physical location?
Not at this time, though we would love to bring our products to a shop near you! If you have a favorite holistic shop in your town, let them know that we take wholesale orders ;).

What is your return policy?

What if my item is damaged, defective, or incorrect?
Please email us directly about your damaged or defective items via email@example.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Currently, we only take payments through PayPal and Venmo. We are unable to utilize Stripe’s payment processor for credit cards as they directly penalize herbalists and other shops like ours for unknown reasons. We do not accept prepaid Visa, Mastercard, or American Express Giftcards. Feel free to contact us if you have a special payment request, we'll do our best to take care of you.
Can I change/cancel my order?
Once an order has been placed, we can’t edit the address entered or items ordered on our side of the system. We can, however, cancel and refund your order. Please email us via firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and order confirmation number and we will refund you within three business days.
What are your shipping methods?
We ship all of our packages through the United States Postal Service. We do our best to used recycled materials to package your order to minimize our environmental impact as well.
How long before my order ships?
Please allow 5-7 days for your order to be processed and prepared for shipment. As soon as we create the label for your order, you will receive an email with tracking information. It often takes USPS 24 hours to show you accurate tracking information on their website. You can expect your package to be at your doorstep within 3-5 days after your tracking information has been sent.
Where can I find my tracking number?
You will receive an email sent to the email you provided at checkout with your USPS tracking number as soon as we create the label for your shipment.
Where is my order?
For all shipped packages, we’ll email you a tracking number. To change the address or learn where your order is you can contact USPS via 1-800-222-1811 or online.
Do you ship outside of the United States?
Unfortunately we are unable to ship outside of the United States at this time due to international regulations on the types of products that we offer.
