Weekly Tarotcast: 4/23-4/29

Tarotcasts may be posted on Tuesdays from here on out. Mondays are hard! I'm going to keep trying to get it out on Mondays though, I promise. This short reading is intended to reveal insight for the collective consciousness, or the energies we as a unified society may experience in the coming week. The messages that you relate to are the messages you were meant to hear! If you are interested in expanding on how this energy will affect you in the coming week, I encourage you to book a three card reading so we can explore deeper.

Three of Pentacles

Keywords: teamwork, collaboration, learning

It's Taurus season y'all! I have many decks that I use for different reasons, but this month I'll be working with my Pagan Otherworlds deck because of its extremely earthy and grounding energy. So for the card this week. Oh the Three of Pentacles! What a wonderful card. In this card from the Pagan Otherworlds, we see rocks carefully stacked on a hillside pointing up towards the bright blue sky. The rocks are create a rather phallic shape and to me symbolize the more masculine aspects of the self. I don't mean to say that it represents the idea of male exclusively, but masculine characteristics in an energetic sense. The scene is lush and green and feels like late Spring to me – this is exactly what we're experiencing in my little corner of the world. Next to the stones we see three beautiful pentacles which represent the material aspects of ourselves. Our finances, practical mindsets, the physical body, etc. Very Taurean indeed!

The Three of Pentacles often shows a young apprentice hard at work in a cathedral he is building. This card really carries a sense of hard-working energy with it. The young man has a hammer and chisel in hand and stands on his stool speaking to the architects below him, telling them his opinion on how to move forward. They value his insight and are working together to fulfill their goal of completing the project. While the depiction in the Pagan Otherworlds card is different, we can see rocks that have been deliberately stacked in a very careful manner so that they stand completely upright. Each rock is working together to support the weight of the one above it. The structure was built with a strong foundation so that it can stand the tests of mother nature's elements. It is a representation of your ideas and goals being completed in the material world through teamwork and collaboration.

So this week ask yourself, "What am I working on? What is my intention for this week and how can I build my own strong foundations so that I can reach my goal? What am I building in my life?" Also consider who you can collaborate with to help you achieve your vision. Perhaps you are in a position at work where you have a lot of ideas about a current project. It's a great time to speak up to your superiors and share your vision – they value your insight more than you think!

This card carries an overall message of encouragement to inspire you to continue working towards completion of your goal, even if its just completing the first step of a long project. The Three of Pentacles also reminds you to draw upon the knowledge and experience of others and to get on the same page so that you can work together. It is important to remember to carefully plan for the long term success of your project and to ask for and listen to feedback along the way. No one is superior here – every member of the team has a voice and their feedback/insights deserve to be heard. This card coupled with the Full Moon coming this weekend gives you a wonderful opportunity to manifest success. Clearly there is hard work ahead of you, but soon you will be able to celebrate a job well done!
